Like most of the users here, I know Greek and English.

I have also studied German for several years but not using them at all, I am starting to forget. And I know very basic French that will propably forget them too, since I never use them.
Well...the languages which I'm fluent with are Greek and English obviously. I used to know some French thanks to my junior high school/high school classes but now I should say I've totally forgotten everything. I also did German for a couple of months ( I think 2-3) and I just know how to read them and remember some words, it was truly a difficult language Toungue Think I'm gonna take it on again though. Currently I'm on my 2nd year of studying Japanese and I've gotten my first certificate, I certainly love that language. Smile
Excellent taste, friend
Hmm,I speak fluently greek and english(but I suck at writing Toungue)....

Spanish? What level do you think you have? Por ejemplo si ahora te empiezo a hablar en español, ¿Lo entenderías todo?

Legendary Pokémon is from Greece, most people in this forum is Greek. In addition, in Greece is obligatory English, they have a good level and people are motivated to learn.

Next text are irrelevant data. If you're interested in Spain, then read it and get constipated. If not, open the Spoiler. (Click to View)

I've been to a few countries abroad and I'm pretty sure that Spanish people are the worst when it comes to speaking English. I'm not sure if it's because they don't learn English at school or because they're too proud to use a different language in their country, but nobody would speak English unless they were forced to because of their job. I mean how difficult can it be for a dude working at McDonalds in a big European city like Barcelona to understand the phrase "I want one more bag"?!
Oh yeah, been to Barcelona as well and they'd rather you went to eat or buy your stuff somewhere else than talk in English.
The best thing ever in that trip? We had a friend among us with a decent knowledge of Spanish, to whom many only replied in Catalan, go figure.
When I went to Barcelona, 2 years ago, most people in touristic places/sights knew basic English. There weren't any problems.

However when we went to a trip to the country, near Dali's museum, it was difficult to communicate with the people there. As Arty mentioned, some shopowners just sent us away.
Well i know english ,greek and ancient greek xD i don't know if that count hehehe.Toungue

It propably counts if you can translate sentences correctly. If you can speak it too, you own at ancient greek.

Myself, I can only understand the basic meaning of a ancient greek text, even though I am from Greece.
I can't speak it ;p but i am good on translation

Both of them. Barcelona has two official languages: Catalan and Spanish. There are people detracting Catalan, and people detracting Spanish.Anyway, they don't wanna speak English xP unless they MUST. Now in jobs request a higher level (B1, B2 and C1)
Notice English is a must-course here in the whole country xP but people don't study (Average level: A1?) but now there are more level. But... teenagers generally (there are some exceptions) won't understand a fu*king word Dx
