Legendary Pokémon

After a discussion I had witht he rest of the moderators, we decided that we needed an extra one to help us manage the forum. We also wanted to make it random, and because we do trust you we'll let "luck" decide.

The only thing you need to do is answer the following questions correctly. Tommorow night we shall review all the replies, and then the first who answers them correctly will become our new moderator. They're a little bit tricky but I am sure you can make it guys and girls.

1. I caught a Timid Rayquaza at level 70 in Emerald with the following IVs:
   HP 23/Atk 11/Def 10/SpAtk 30/SpDef 04/Speed 09. I gave it 200 effort points in HP, 122 in Speed and the rest in Attack. What are its stats gonna be at level 92?
2. How could Nidoking learn Amnesia in Red/Blue/Yellow?
3. In Gold/Silver/Crystal, whick Apricorn did Kurt need to make a Lure Ball?
4. Which of the following Pokémon does not have a unique type combination: Lucario, Steelix, Gengar, Heatran, Girafarig, Bibarel or Froslass
5. In Red/Blue/Yellow again, we all know the Mew glitch. At some point, it requires to defeat a Pokémon with a Special stat of 21. Now, depending on the Special stat of the defeated Pokémon, a different Pokémon would appear. What's the stat needed for Tangela?

Well, if I answer with the information from the IV calculator i'll lose to all those guys that answered the same things with georgeslayer, so i'll say that

First of all, I'd like to state that Arty2 was quite clear. Any posts with edits will be considered invalid.



So yeah *drum roll for the unexpected turn of events*, happy April Fool's Day my friends!

Now, getting a bit serious, nobody answered all five questions correctly. Here are the answers, just for you to see.

1. Yeah guys, run to Legendary Pokémon's IV Calculator, the best one in the Internets for this and tada, get it wrong. Kudos to Xaralampos for being the only one noticing that this combination of nature and IV spread is invalid for Rayquaza. I intentionally chose a Pokémon that cannot breed, since the hatched Pokémon can have any nature-IV set. Have fun being tricked.

2. Yeah right, breed in GSC and trade back, simple.

3. Blue Apricorn, blue, blue, blue. Wrong. Tricked again. It's the Blu one, without the "e". An item can't have more than 12 characters as its name, so the colours for the Apricorn items were all compressed to 3-letter words. Blu, Blk, Red, Pnk, and so on. Char is the only one to get it right, nice one.

4. Gengar obviously, for the reason GeorgeSlayer mentioned.

5. Yeah 30. 'Grats to GeorgeSlayer for actually searching for it, I'll just suppose the rest of you "copied" that. If somebody else searched too, 'grats to you too.

Ok, I know I'm mean. Herc is mean too. We're all mean. However, the results of this "quiz" will be needed when we consider some upcoming changes in the future. You'll see when time comes.


PS: Xaralampos, the prize is not the problem. If the answer to my song riddle was on the Internet, it would have been solved in no time. Obviously, you (2nd plural person) are all bored to think. Which is kind of strange, considering you aren't bored to search the net for Tangela's decimal value in RBY.

Well the question with the Apricorn was very smart and tricky..damn i have not played my Crystal for 4 years ...nice guys

About the question with Rayquaza....i beleive that this question was not so well written..because most of the people when they checked their calculators(this involves me too) saw ridiculous stats so the IV had to be wrong but you asked WHAT are the stats so we were confused and we didnt know that maybe the IV's are INVALID...anyway...


Well for me the first question wasnt answered correctly by anyone..because they answered correctly ONLY because they had a better calculating programme than the others...so it was not a matter of pokemon knowledge..i think you got my point

It wasn't a matter of pokemon knowledge from the start, it was a matter of good thinking If you used more than one sources to find your answers you would be able to find the right answer too.

It wasn't a matter of pokemon knowledge from the start, it was a matter of good thinking If you used more than one sources to find your answers you would be able to find the right answer too.

Πρωτον μην επιτιθεσαι γιατι εγω δεν επιτεθηκα και μην βγαζεις συμπερασματα χωρις να με ξερεις καν!!!

Στο θεμα μας τωρα...Πρωτον εγω συμφωνω μαζι σου...πραγματι ηταν θεμα σκεψης...οποιος μπορεσε να σκεφτει γρηγορα και να δει οτι τα IV δεν ταιριαζουν τοτε για μενα αυτος νικησε(ΟΧΙ να βγαλει το συμπερασμα με προγραμμα)!!!Απο εκει και περα εγω χρησημοποιησα πολλα προγραμματα για να βρω τα stats αλλα πολυ απλα αυτα που εχω εγω δεν σου βγαζουν μηνυμα THE IV'S ARE INVALID οπως εβγαλε σε σενα(ετσι ειδα στην φωτογραφια σου) οποτε ηταν 1000 φορες ευκολοτερο να εμπιστευτεις το προγραμμα σου...εμενα το ενα προγραμμα μου εβγαζε υψηλα stats και το αλλο χαμηλα...φυσικο δεν ειναι να μπερδευτω??Η ερωτηση για την ακριβεια ηταν καπως παραπλανητικη.Και κατι τελευταιο: ημουν ετοιμος να γραψω πως τα IV ειναι λαθος γιατι εμπιστευτηκα το συστημα του site αυτου εδω που ξερω οτι ειναι αξιοπιστο αλλα μου ειπαν καποιοι στο shoutbox (παλιοι users) οτι εχει χαλασει.Δεν εχω δικιο?

Παιδιά, επίσης, τα στατιστικά που έβγαζε είναι σωστά, δεν είναι ούτε υψηλά, ούτε χαμηλά, απλά ένα τέτοιο Rayquaza δε θα ήταν legit και το IV Calculator δε κάνει τέτοιο έλεγχο γιατί δεν είναι αυτός ο σκοπός του.
