As you have all already noticed, after the reformation of the forums, Legendary Pokémon has its Trading Corner. Its purpose should be fairly obvious, Pokémon and item trades. Should the reason be Pokédex completion, evolving a Pokémon or simply obtaining an item, the Pokémon games support trades between players and this forum's reason of existence is to organize everything. In order to accomplish that, here are some rules - more like basic guidelines - which you are encouraged to follow.

General Rules
  • Trades are made via the Nintendo WiFi Connection, you obviously need each other's Friend Code in order to trade. Be sure your friend code is easily visible. There's a field in your profile where your FCs can be listed. Your signature is a fine place too.
  • When offering a Pokémon or asking for one, be sure to post any details in order to avoid misunderstandings. If you want a shiny, Modest natured Zangoose with a Defense IV of 12, do say so, don't expect others to guess it.
  • Be rational with your offers. Unless somebody mentions it's a giveaway, they obviously want something in return for their WISHMKR Jirachi or 10ANNIV Lugia, offering a Lv.2 Pidgey won't help you.
  • English please. This is not a Greek part of the forum, anyone can see your posts. Please refrain from posting in Greek.

Rules concerning the Original Poster (OP)
  • Do not open more than ONE thread. This will help in preventing the clogging of the trade section with useless thread, usually locked, that exist already once or twice.
  • The title of the thread should clearly display what is the purpose of the thread. Having the OP's username in the title is suggested, helping people understand whose thread is which. Of course, "NM2's Haves and Wants" and "NM2's event Pokémon giveaway" are two completely different things, the thread title should give the other members a good idea about the contents of the thread.
  • Post your lists in a good-looking format. Make sure it is clear what you have and want. When offering a Pokémon, make sure to clarify if you want one in return or if it is a giveaway. The same applies for when asking for a Pokémon, do you have something to trade for it or not?
  • OPs should edit their lists often. When a trade is made, be sure to remove the corresponding Pokémon from the list. If you have new Pokémon in your Haves/Wants lists, edit them in. If you just post about them, somebody may miss them, people tend to look at the first post when reading a thread for a first time. Editing the title as well may be helpful.
  • You are free to bump your thread as long as there is a reason for it. If there's a major update in your list, then do so by all means. If you want to bump just for the sake of bumping, avoid it.
  • If you won't be able to trade for a long time, contact a moderator in order to have your thread temporarily locked, preventing a flood of useless posts.

THE Rule
Clarify if a certain Pokémon or item is legitimate or hacked. While we don't encourage them, we cannot prohibit the trades of hacked Pokémon, however, both the giver and the receiver must be aware of what is being traded. Pokémon made via PokéSav are considered hacked. If a Pokémon has been affected by any Action Replay codes, even those that seem harmless like the cloning one, be sure to mention it.

We will not be checking your Pokémon one by one, that should go without saying. Nevertheless, if you are somehow caught trying to pass a hacked Pokémon as a legitimate one, don't expect to see yourself posting in the trade section again. If you are sure somebody is trying to deceive other members, report their thread/post and we'll look into it.

~Happy trading!
Use the appropriate thread prefix to specify which generation your thread belongs to.

e.g. "Gen IV :"

Failure to do so may result in deletion of your thread.

It is also suggested that users should subscribe by email to the thread they opened, in order to receive replies to in threads without having to check the forums.
