This will be your live feed to my failed attempts to get a gold print in Platinum's Battle Factory. If I had opened this thread yesterday, you would have enjoyed some fantastic hax losses by a Dragonite and a Moltres but yeah, I didn't think of it. Better late than never though.

So, today's quest has started about half an hour ago, but I paused after the second battle as I was hungry and had to eat. After my delicious steak, here I am, bringing to you the rest 5 (hopefully) battles.

My starting team is:

Slowbro @ Chesto w/ Surf, Psychic, Yawn, CM
Medicham @ Salac w/ Zen Headbutt, Reversal, Endure, Fake Out
Magmortar @ Heat Rock w/ Fire Blast, Focus Blast, WoW, Sunny Day

Sucks pretty much but that's life. I didn't swap after the first battle but after the second one (now), I'm trading Magmortar for a Sceptile. Let's see, battle 3!

Small pause again.
By the sound of Sabaton's "The Price of a Mile", we go on. The opponent will have Metagross, Salamence and Roserade (niiiiiice...). Sceptile is useless here, swapping for Curseppowdon which can hopefully wall Salamence.

On to opponent 6 while our background music has changed to Sonata Arctica's "Deathaura", hopefully meaning their death and my aura and not vice versa. Opponent has Lopunny, Whiscash and Snorlax and I'm swapping Hippo for Roserade, hitting Whiscash's weakness.

Now, if it goes Yawn, I'm out.
Medicham - Endure

Medicham woke up - Endure
Snorlax - Rock Slide (79/230)
Medicham - Reversal (around 25%)
Snorlax - Return (KO)

DEFEAT!

And that was it, tune in again some other time for another loss. Pretty much any other Snorlax set would be easy job for Medicham but whatever. If I had CMed against Lopunny it may have gone quite better. Random fact, Snorlax wasn't fully paralyzed for a single turn.

Before we end today's coverage, I must inform you that a non-Solarbeam Moltres CAN KO a full-HP Swampert AND a full-HP Rhydon in the Factory, just letting you know.
Hello everybody, reporting in for another quest in this magnificent facility known as the Battle Factory. Let's hope for better matchups and options this time. Listening to Atreyu's "Gallows", the adventure begins.

Opponent 1 will have Tauros, Whiscash and Steelix while my 6 choices are:

Opponent 4's army consists of Leafeon, Gengar and Glaceon, apparently influenced by Eraleas. While Torterra helped me before, obviously the Charizard lead will kick butt. So, there we go.

Sure, but be sure no one else is posting at the same time. And you'll have to keep posting for all 7 battles, or until you lose. And thanks. Big Grin

Off to battle 5, with our opponent running Dragonite, Porygon2 and Flygon. Charizard is pretty much useless though I'm scared to go with a Glaceon lead. I'll swap Jolteon for Glaceon, bringing it in later in the battle.

BATTLE 5!

VS Waitress Noelle

Charizard vs Dragonite

Speed stats are messed up, I could be faster and get a flinch.

With battle 6 ahead, we are kindly informed that our opponent runs Kingdra, Venusaur and Rapidash. Charizard gets a bad matchup again, but Dragonite and Flygon are probably slower than the Factory's Kingdra, ain't risking it. Dragonite over Glaceon, yes though.

BATTLE 6!

VS Idol Lana

Charizard vs Kingdra
Charizard - Air Slash (45%)
Kingdra - Surf (KO Sad)

Tentacruel vs Kingdra
Tentacruel - Sludge Bomb (1%, poisoned though)
Kingdra - DPulse (159/270, KO by poison)

Tentacruel vs Venusaur
Tentacruel - Icy Wind (80%, speed fell, White Herb)
Venusaur - Leaf Storm (KO)

Dragonite vs Venusaur (this thing has Sleep Powder, BAD)
Dragonite - Aerial Ace (KO, unexpected but nice)

Dragonite vs Rapidash
Rapidash - Fire Blast (230/292)
Dragonite - DClaw (KO, nice)

VICTORY!
The final battle is in front of us, the reason we are here! We've been training for this moment for a long time! We cannot lose! Seeing our dedication, the kind assistant reports that Machamp, Muk and Exploud have been witnessed being used by our last opponent. Charizard at last gets a good matchup, Muk and Exploud aren't that hard, Tenta and Nite should be able to kill them. Off we go!

BATTLE 7!

Machamp - Payback (116/266)
Charizard - Air Slash (KO)

Charizard sweep again, feel the flame.

And that was it, the first set of trainers is out. Streak at 7, tune in again another time. Feel free to post your runthrough.
