LUGIA al the way all of you ho oh belivers are wrong the only use for that is the pokedex spot you are better of having a charizard same types but charizard is more awesome and lugia OWNS ALL YOU HO_OH beiver..........lugia rocks

Definately Lugia, it has water moves and can land serious hits on Ho-oh while surviving attacks thanks to its defences.

lugia! Because i have put to much effort into purifying shadow lugia and training it i have gron attached. Ho-oh just plain sucks. It is like a painting done by a 3 year old. Nice but usless. I rest my case.

i haven't play any of the new pokemon but i like lugia

technicaly ho-oh is better than lugia. In fact ho-oh has the second highest stats in the game the only pokemon that passes it is Arceus.

lugia it's better than ho-oh because of his high defence and sp.defence also it's cool and has a movie ;P

Technically Lugia has the same Base Total with Ho-oh, it's just the stats are differently distributed among those two.
As for the poll, it's a vote for Lugia

-Lugia is more Badass
-Lugia is White and Blue
-Lugia can learn water-type moves that pawns Ho-oh (you know)
-Lugia can beat a Lillipup
-Lugia was once captured by Chuck Norris and then was released for the sake of all regions united.
Final Conclusion Lugia is AWESOME!

Lugia looks much better but its mostly defensive.Ho-oh has beter sp.attack and attack stats and its a fire type.So i vote ho-oh.
