Yes,it's a good strategy....
I have battle with someone in Battle revolution who used this strategy...
His last Pokemon was Darkrai,but I had 2[Mismagius(Perish singer),Jolteon)
So,I had only to do a perish song and in 3 turns....I win.....it was very good though...After perish song i switched pokemon ,so the nightmare and bad dreams failed Toungue.....
The only damage it was a Mismagius with sleep....

I hadn't seen it in its full power but I won...Toungue
Sleep clause active=this sucks.
Competitive battling=sleep active clause (most of the time).
=>Competitive battling is no place for this.
In coclusion,it isn't so evil....
Meh, Nightmare is a waste of a turn.

If you want to use Dream Eater to recover HP, then why inflict HP with Nightmare ?

And plus, Nasty Plot is way better than Nightmare, the scenario goes like this: Darkrai uses Dark Void, Nasty Plot 2 times, and then start sweeping, it doesn't matter if there is or there isn't a sleep clause cause you only need to make one Pokémon sleep so ou can set the NPs to sweep. [unless it switches..]
