There is -no- problem with getting event pokemon with hacks.
They're not fake, if you really feel they're fake, don't get them.
Simple as that.

Exactly this, I just started the thread to see other peoples' opinions.
Cheating in singleplayer is just retarted.
However in my view, hacking or cheating in multiplayer is alright as long as you do not do it often and only if it is only for fun and not for improving your rankings or statistics.
Edited: By the way this was general talking, in pokemon games, cheats that gives you things that you may not obtain otherwise, like some pokemon, may be used at will (that is why the uber tier etc are for, to unsure that a player would not have an unfair advantage over another using hacked pokemon or items)
"Harder" hacks that would change the game's interface or allow wall walking may be used too, the gamer should know the risks they take and use them with responsibility.
um...hacking in multiplayer is downright illegal. Don't do that. I'm tired of all those people hacking combat arms.

Indeed it is, however one round for fun lets say once a month wont hurt. May even help you improve yourself, for example detect enemy hacks easier etc etc. The bad thing is to be addicted to hacking and cannot play without software.
Though this is irrelevant since the thread is about pokemon hacking which is very different than first-person-shooter games hacking or so.
Hmm, I found some guides about the Random Number Generator engine that the Pokémon games use. With this, you can catch legendaries and other Pokémon with perfect IV's and natures. Well, I haven't understood the whole concept yet, but I think its something like abusing the system's way of creating random values. It can also be used for shinies.
I might start using this. But, is it considered a hack? On the internet, some people support it while others say it spoils the game just for some more stats.
What do you think?
Random Number Generator is kinda cool. However in my view it clearly spoils the game. I mean, having exatcly the pokemon you want -which usually happens to be the perfect one- , that is what simulators on the internet are used for. Competive battling in wi-fi must stay clean of that stuff and I hope in future versions they will find a not abusable way to to generate random numbers than the DS time or whatever stuff is used now.
Cheats are bad, because they may mess up your game and the game is too easy to complete after aplying some. For example you can get an lv.100 arceus that obeys you from the very first of the game.
Well then, tell me, how ELSE are you gonna get an Arceus?

Wi-Fi event, Dream world... That's it, if you really want one you will go in a public wi-fi spot when the event takes place to download it.

Yeah but I think Arceus events happepened only a few times and weren't available to everyone. Anyway, I suppose there is a way to get it without hacks but it must be difficult. Or maybe take it from a friend and return it, so it's recorded as caught in the Pokédex.
