It's not deja vu for sure. Just something strange that has to do with the subconsious and dreaming. I have read an article which presented a very nice (yet not based on undeiniable proofs) scientific explanation, if you want I could post a brief summary of what it said here or PM.

In case someone is interested in the above but doesn't know good english I can always translate to greek Smile

Oh, and we have a game thread here, let's be abit on topic. Have you ever find a book so fascinating that you literally ignored everything else till you finished it?

Deja Vu

Deja Vu are actually french words and mean "already seen". It's this weird feeling, this sensation when you experience a moment and you are sure that you have experience it before, exactly the same. If you have ever felt it you' ll know how strange and sometimes unnatural it feels. It's like you go back a movie for a split second and watch a moment again, only this happens with your life. There are many theories and beliefs, some logical others a bit lunatic, why and how this happens. The one that is believed to be true among scientists has to do with how our eyes, nerves and brain work.

Whenever our eyes see something, they both sent a message to the brain via the nerves. The part of the brain which is repsonsible for seeing receives these two messages the exact same moment. I don't remember whether the eyes sent the message simultaneously or the nervous system is responsible for synchronizing em. What happens in case of Deja Vu? A little malfuction happens and the first message is sent just a little bit faster than the second one. So, when the brain receives the first one, it considers it a valid signal sent from the eyes and proceeds to decode it in order to happen this that we call vision or simply seeing. But the second one arrives split seconds later and the brain is confused since it has a second "seeing" mesage timed from the exact same moment. So it rejects the second one and make us believe that it comes from the memory. This causes all the confusion of Deja Vu.

Note that all the above happen extremely fast, our brain is literally being bombarded by titanic amounts of information every second, so it processes them extremely fast as well. And it can't be prooved since we aren't even close in understanding this marvelous, organic super-computer known as human brain. just a theory, which is based on some bilogical facts.

And the other one tomorrow cause my brain processed too much data for today and needs some rest Toungue

1) Hm. very intresting. I'll be looking foward to the rest but put it in a spoiler this time so that it's not so off-topic.

2)Yes........many times Smile (im leaving it to the same question)

Me too, and the books that made me that excited were the last parts of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" and the "Dark Tower" series. I just devoured these books.

On topic, "Have you ever traveled by plane?" (I know, a bit stupid but that's just what came to my mind).

Aaand, the rest of the summary I posted previously:

That completes it. Just note that they aren't 100% correct since I read the article on a newspaper months ago and wrote the summary from what I remember. And also, both of these theories aren't scientific facts, just interesting theories by respected scientists, which make mistakes too.

3) Whenever you say "'em" instead of "them" i think of an Australian guy talking with a beard for some reason Toungue

4) On topic: have you ever felt uncomfortable while watching tv because you feel you are vacant? It happens to me all the time..... Confused (the few times i get to watch it that is.)

1) Me too, but I don't think I will fly again any time soon. But I really like it. you are lucky to travel to Britain (even if you won't enjoy it).

2)It's a nice, pretty reasonable explanation to something most people consider unexplainable and/or paranormal.

3) This guy is to blame for this.... But generally it's something I usually do when writing fast.

4)This how I feel most of the times when I'm watching TV. This is why I almost never do.
