What I'm thinking of doing is continuing to write my main stories and every so often put out a Chapter of this side story you've come up with. Like you said, it's a really good plot-line.
Change of plans. I'm going to wrap up A:TUS in about 2 more chapters and then I'm going to focus on Medieval Pokemon completely. In other words, the Kalos story is going to be delayed. Medieval Pokemon is a world that I want to develop so it will flourish in the minds of my readers.
Here's the A:TUS plan
Chapter 19 ~ All three remaining badges are obtained (at least one battle will be lost). (one battle per badge will be written)
Chapter 20 Part 1 ~ Elite Four/Champion Battles. (only one person will battle the Elite Four. I've yet to decide who.
Chapter 20 Part 2 ~ Everything will be wrapped up. (will probably be short)

NOOOOOO!
To be honest,I don't like that much the Medieval Pokemon. It is good, but Medieval adventures don't appeal to me.
Medieval implies people with 0.00001% knowledge who believe that women who have cats are witches and must die. Also,it implies wars and many deaths.(imo,of course). That's why I prefemr the classic stories.
PS: I liked the prologue, but I haven't read the rest of it yet. So,I'm not judging you and your fanfic.I judge the concept of your fanfic.
Anyway,time to write TBD!

Hachi, read chapter 1 and if you don't like it then you don't have to read any more of it. I think you might like it.
It does involve wars and death though.
Sheesh, you go away from the forums for a few days and the whole thing dies. It's like I'm the glue keeping the forums together. Or the engine driving the whole thing.
Anyway, the reason Chapter Seven (or anything, for that matter) has not been posted yet is because I have been reading the Hunger Games. Yes, I know, it's a really old book and I've read it before. But I figured "Eh, why not. Maybe I'll learn something about my writing."
I'm gathering quite a lot from reading the Hunger Games. Like abandoning regular sentence structure. In climactic and emotional moments, just throw it out the window. Structure detains you. Shackles you. Restricts the freedom of your speech to what is accepted grammatically. Throw off the reins of oppression and let your sentenced flourish unhindered.
See what I mean? Huge improvement, right?
Also, I should stop being so self-critical of my work. It turns out that most of what is written in the final edition of the Hunger Games is a lot like what I edit out of my first drafts of my chapters.

No. just no.
I've been spending my free time in the LP Chat room
. Need to finish Chapter 19 of A:TUS and write chapter 3 of MP.

Looks pretty good.
Also, I need to develop my characters a lot more than what they are at now. And that will start by finishing Chapter Seven!
On second thought, I don't want to write like the Hunger Games. It has too much love and heartbreak and emotional tragedy and cliches. It won't mesh well with my jokey tone of hilarious punchlines and averted tropes.
@Alcovich
Off-topic:I watched Catching Fire some days ago (although I haven't read/watched the first book/movie).It was very good!
(no moar Off-topic)
Anyway,I still don't know when I'll finish the next chapter.
I just watched Catching Fire.
The best part was when everyone died at the end.
So I started playing Fire Emblem for the GBA, and now I feel like doing a Fire Emblem fanfiction.
Why is it that I want to do a fanfiction of every Nintendo RPG that I play?
You like writing so you when you find a cool story within a game, you want to write about it.
Not really a writer but I have read plenty of books, pretty much of all kinds as well as fanfics and I think I can give a few tips or comments.
Actually, what are the fanfics you are chatting about, if I get some free time I could read 'em and criticize.
I don't even KNOW when/if I'll continue mine.
But anyway...

Then you have Hachi's The Banished Dragon
Then you have Alcovich's Grey's Kanto Adventure
They don't seem too big, so I guess I will read them some time this week.
Btw, I remember asking Alcovich to add someone fighting a Pokémon with a shotgun in his fic, I wonder if he did it.
