Welcome to the Legendary Pokémon tournament thread! We aim to hold several tournaments a week on the #legendary_pokemon IRC channel for prizes and of course, eternal glory.

Tuesday – Wednesday : Tag Team
Friday – Saturday : Free for all
Saturday – Sunday : Doubles
Sunday – Monday : Singles

We will assign everyone with a partner for the first round when signups for each tournament are over. If you advance to the next round, you will need to wait until everyone has battled before finding your next partner. If there are an uneven number of participants the remainder will advance to round two with no initial battle.

All participants must arrange a good time to battle with your assigned partner and swap friend codes/IGN with them ahead of time to avoid no-shows.

Tournament Rules:

In order to make this as fair of a fight as we possibly can the following Pokémon are banned from use in the tournaments:

Has this "event" of sorts died out? Admittedly im not in the channel much nowadays but i never see mention of such
Yes this tournament has been over/dead for quite some time. However, one of the ops is having a thanksgiving giveaway on the channel from the 26th to the 29th of November so you're more than welcome to come and collect some free shiny Pokémon.
Hmm.... sounds like a plan. But with the new server. I think it would be a nice time to revive the the idea of tourneys? Ill help moderate them
It would be a nice idea, we are in the early stages of a winter tournament. In that the idea has been thrown around some but nothing has actually been finalised yet.
