Serebii Wrote:Also Pokémon Bank will allow for Red, Blue & Yellow to send data to Pokémon Bank and be received into Pokémon Sun & Moon. They cannot be directly received by X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire

This is interesting for 2 reasons.

1)Stats were calculated differently in Gen1. How will they be calculated in Sun/Moon?

2)"cannot be directly recieved in X/Y/OR/AS"
This implies they CAN be recieved. Gen1->Gen7 and then a mechanic will allow a Gen7->Gen6 transfer?

Probably it'll read the save and try to recreate the pokemon for use in gen 7.
No mechanic to send Gen7 to Gen6. We won't be able to send pokemon from R/G/B/Y to X/Y/OR/AS.
RGBY support PokeBank. Just use it to transfer your Pogheymanz over to Gen 6. It will be really retarded if you cannot get 1st Gen Pokemon(from RGBY) through PokeBank.
Pokemon Wrote:Using Pokémon Bank, you'll be able to transfer Pokémon you've caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow into your copy of Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon.

Pokemon Wrote:Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y can also be brought into Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in the same way.

Pokemon Wrote:Note that Pokémon cannot be moved directly from Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow to Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, or Pokémon Y via Pokémon Bank.

Well, they look amazing. Big Grin The Fire and Water starters are kinda meh, but they might have great potential. Both legendaries are amazing.
A bit underwhelming, all of them, but whatever. Fire cat will probably be my choice.

Also, more human-like proportions and less of a chibi style. The models look great.

And customization seems to return, cool.
Here's something interesting to discuss about the new generation, although we'll discover it when the games get released: The breeding mechanics.

Gen4: Masuda Method introduction.
Gen5:
BW: Hidden Abilities got introduced. 60% chance of getting the Hidden Ability in bred mons if female has it. Even higher chance of getting shinies via MM
B2W2: Oval/Shiny Charm got introduced. Abilities have an 80% chance of being inherited no matter whether hidden or not, as long as the female has it.
Gen6: Destiny Knot got introduced. 2 more IV stats get transfered. Shiny chance gets doubled. Egg moves are inherited from both Pokemons. Hidden Ability is inherited from male and genderless as well, if bred with a Ditto. Pokeball type is inherited from the female.

But what about Gen7? What will they change or introduce? There's not much they can introduce.

Serebii Wrote:Today is the first day of Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3 2016 and starting it off is coverage of Pokémon Sun & Moon following a trailer for Zelda. This is to include the first live gameplay and will feature Junichi Masuda. This post will be updated with every new tidbit as we go and you can watch the stream here as standard.
Edit @ 17:09: The game is being directed by Shigeru Ohmori while Junichi Masuda is the overall producer
17:17: Part of the focus on the development of the starters was on their movement when in battle.
17:21: Ledyba can be found in Route 1 of the game. The move lists can bring up full details and tell you if the move will be effective, super effective, or not effective on the opponent Pokémon
17:26: You can now see how a stat has been altered via moves in battle
17:26: Ledyba is #020 in the Alola Region Pokédex and will show you the evolution chain or if it forms a pair
17:28: New Pokémon called Yungoos. It's always hungry and can be found in Route 1. It is Normal-type. Ability is Stake Out/Strong Jaw
17:35: New Pokémon called Pikipek. It is Normal/Flying-type. Its abilities are Keen Eye and Skill Link. It has two evolutions and is #010 in the Alola Pokédex.
17:37: There is a festival in the next town that kicks off your journey. It's where you battle Hau where he has a Pichu
17:42: Popplio can know Disarming Voice
17:44: A new Battle mode called Battle Royale where four players play with 3 Pokémon, each sending out one at a time. It's a Free-For-All battle but when the first trainer loses all their Pokémon, the game ends and players are tallied up by defeated Pokémon and remaining Pokémon and that determines the winner.
Edit @ 17:55: Our New Pokémon Page has been updated with the two new Pokémon. A new trailer has also been added Edit @ 17:56: A new Pokémon has been revealed called Grubbin. It is a Bug-type and its ability is Swarm
18:07: Stakeout's effect: This Ability means that the Pokémon’s moves can deal twice the normal damage to any Pokémon that switches in or enters the field mid-battle. Soul Heart's effect: This Ability raises Magearna’s Special Attack by 1 each time another Pokémon in the arena faints.
It also noted the change in the appearance of Solgaleo and Lunala while they do their signature moves as being called Radiant Sun phase & Full Moon phase

Serebii Wrote:Hidden within the official site's post regarding the Magearna distribution in Japan this summer, where you get given the disc for Magearna for Pokémon Ga-Olé which contains a QR Code to scan into Sun & Moon that gives you Magearna, it was noted that the QR Code can only be scanned into Japanese versions of Pokémon Sun & Moon, indicating that future events distributed by QR Code will likely be region locked as well. It was previously confirmed that the Magearna distribution will also be by QR Code in Europe and North America later this year.

*too bored to post pics*

Yungoos looks pretty damn OP with that ability. It also looks like Donald Trump. But it's still OP.

And Battle Royal seems disappointing. Not an actual ffa. If it was, then the battle would end when 1 player has Pokemon left, not when 3 players have Pokemon left.
