it had somthin to do with the battery so thats what i thought
If you take out the old battery, the save files are gone!

hey thakyou for posting this my silver version just died but this one has been running since i got an early copy (only 2 weeks early got it from an old freind) and it just died. Long battery life but anyway thanks
Heh, my Gold has been running 13 years strong on the same battery. Harry Potter and the sorcerer's stone died though. So Pokemon>Harry Potter.
