Before plugging the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector into your PC, you must first install the software on the CD.

After installing the USB Connector on your PC, you will need to use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Registration Tool to allow your Nintendo DS to communicate with the USB Connector.

You will need:
  • Windows XP or Windows Vista*.
  • Broadband Internet connection.



Step 1:
Insert either Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl into the Nintendo DS Card slot.


Step 2:
On the Nintendo DS Menu Screen, select the game title.


Step 3:
When the game starts, select the 'NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS' from the main menu.


Step 4:
On the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup screen, tap the 'Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings'.


Step 5:
Tap the 'Connect to your Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector' panel.


Step 6:
You will be asked to use the Nintendo Wi-Fi Registration Tool on your PC so that the DS will have permission to access the USB Connector.
Click on the registration tool icon in the task bar(it's a blue circle that says "Wi-Fi").


Step 7:
Click on the Nintendo DS' username and, from the main menu, select to allow access. After that, the Nintendo DS will ask to test the connection. Select OK to begin. If the connection is OK, you will be given a 'CONNECTION SUCCESSFUL' message.






*To use the software on Windows Vista, you must first update the software(version: 1.06). To do this, click here.
