Following, are few guidelines that will help all players in all possible RPGs that will "emerge" in this forums:
Notes to the whole team: (this includes players and storyteller alike)
Notes to the whole team: (this includes players and storyteller alike)
- You are here to have fun; avoid flaming, possible misunderstandings spamming etc. These are completely unecessary.
- You are fee to open up two (2) threads per RPG: one regarding the main RPG plot and another one where you can discuss the outcomes, raise questions etc. Additional players may be subscibed there.
- It is essential that you try to cooperate. In order to achieve this it is expected that you respect each player's choices and actions.
- It is best advised to use a text processing program in order to create the replies so that you may Refresh the thread for any possible new answers. If an answer is posted which radically alters what you were preparing, change your answer accordingly. You may then post your answer by copying it and pasting it.
- Do not edit your post after it has posted, except for possible grammar or vocabulary mistakes.
- Do not describe other persons' actions, reactions. Try to remain in-character and describe your personal actions as much as possible.
- If you are not part of the RPG, please do not post in the main RPG thread. You may join after the approval of the storyteller/storyleader, or else your psot will be erased.
- Try to write coherently and explain what you are trying to do correctly, avoiding future misunderstandings.
- Respect your storyteller's work and changes. Discuss any possible problems or dislikes in the appropriate section.
- You are the one who is in charge of the main storyline and the good cooperation of the whole team. Try to explain to the players the style of story you will throw them in before doing so, in order to avoid possible dislikes. Avoid spoilers in any case.
- At least expect one or two answers before posting a new message on the boards. Make sure everything you say makes sense and advances the storyline.
- Be imaginative! You are free to come up with anything you want for your storyline, as long as you feel the players would not mind it.Again, discuss it with them.
- You are a player as well, not the Boss, so behave accordingly.
- Do not act like an @$$! Everyone can play and should be treated as an equal. Give everybody a chance.
