what the hell is uber?

B/W are out only in Japan yet.Usually, sites like smogon make polls, vote or whatever they do to categorise pokemon.So, I guess they want to see how people like/don't like facing a strong pokemon in battle, do some research and write down the reasons it has to go to the ubers if it really has to.Plus a pokemon like Deoxys is difficult to leave the uber tier.

will someone PLEASE explain to me the concept of "uber" pokemon?

pokemon are listed in 3 categories depending on their stats and how often they are used in online battles.Those categories are : OU (overused), UU (unused), Ubers.From those 3 categories only ubers cannot be used in online battles (when playing with standard rules).Uber pokemon are mostly legendaries like Arceus,Deoxys,Mewtwo or other really strong pokemon such as Garchomp that go to there 'cause everyone would use only those pokemon forgeting about the others and people not using those pokemon wouldn't stand a chance against them.

You're not stupid.You are just new.You learn those things when you are in for an online battle and you get into a battle with the other guy and you use Darkrai and Deoxys and you see the other player yelling at you saying "DON'T YOU KNOW THOSE POKEMON ARE NOT ALLOWED".And then you tell him: Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know this.This is my very first online battle.And he says "it's ok"
Or you just ask If you fill like you lack of something.Spending time on the forum talking about pokemon with others also helps quite a lot, I'd say.
Anyway, back to the subject now.

we're all glad we are here giratina or else we wouldn't have been able to have known about this stuff or meet new people in trading or battling that's part of the reason LP was made

IDK why, but my really good buddy I trade Pokémon with thinks I look like a SPEED Deoxys hanging from the ceiling. Deoxys is fun to use, though. It's fun to look at the meteors and then try to figure out what each of them does. My favorite forme is SPEED. Like mentioned above, I don't know why.

I think Deoxys could also make some kind of pokemon zombie virus or something like that. After all, Deoxys IS a mutated space virus, so couldn't it be the source of some zombie virus? That would actually make a pretty damn good pokemon movie! And for the record, I'm glad guys like you are around to help bump up my threads!
