Are those islands featured in any pokémon game?
I have stopped exactly at the point when Ash gets his first badge there, in the second season at the anime.
No they are not featured in any pokemon game, except for a few hack games.
Nope, they are unfortunately anime (or manga as well?) exclusive. They would really be nice in the games with the touch screen etc however.
But like I said, there is a way to play in the orange islands via some kind of hack game called pokemon orange version.
Today I saw a commercial on TV about a movie called ROCK`N`ROLLA. Well seems like Roggenrola, that also happen to be a rock pokemon, is a referance to this movie. Though the plot of this movie does not seem to have any relation with rocks and that stuff.
Interesting stuff. I just love my crowed of active members! Anyways, I can't seem to think of anything else right now.
Well, this certainly is ironic. Anyways, I just thought of something else. Generation one had the only direct indications that pokemon could really die. In fact, they even talked about the maroark dying. It is also believed that Blue's radicate died, because in the battle with him in Pokemon Tower and the battles after, he doesn't use it. It also may be why he was there in the first place.
About Pokémon dying in the 1st Gen, I 've read some stuff about Kangaskhan and Cubone. I haven't saved the info but here's what I remember:
If you notice Cubone, it looks like one of these little Kangaskhans the big ones carry in their front pockets. I also think that in the beginning they also had a more brownish color rather than the purple they have today (like Junx that changed from black to purple).
So, one theory suggest that Cubone is actually a little Kangaskhan, whose mother died. It got her skull, a bone and plenty of sadness and it continued without her. Moreover, there are claims that it was originally planned that it would eventually evolve into a Kangaskhan. And finally, the ghost of the Cubone's mother in Lavender Town was supposed to be a Kangaskhan, not Marowak. But it was removed since it was a game for kids and it wouldn't be "appropriate", involving deaths in an evolutionary line.
Of course, all these might be just creepypasta but it makes some sense. I've also thought about this before reading the above.
Thats because it was intended for marowak to evolve into kangaskhan, but they changed it at the last minute in the original game. So guess what they had to do with that remaining information? They had to patch it up and stuff it in a corner of the game, where it would become...MISSINGNO
Disto world in Platinum can be a Portal referance, lol.
