I'm definitely sure there wii be ready Samus costumes at cosplay stores but they will be so cheaply made that they don't deserve their money. Even thought for some other characters the cosplay costumes are good-made but most of them are not. It's better to make one yourself or pay at another person who knows how to make cosplay costumes.

Exactly, but I believe the best is to make a costume yourself. Now, making a Samus one is difficult but still, for more simple ones you can always be creative and make one. That's one of the best parts of cosplay etc.

Hey! That 16-bit Samus costume also appeared in Nintendo Power!

Anyway, the majority of my school peers hate me for my game taste. With my loyalty to the classics (from Atari 2600 to Gamecube) I'm something of an outsider. The horrible part about that is the fact that I was BORN in this town!

People think I'm too soft. Ha! I'd like them to challenge me to Mortal Kombat and think I'm too soft! I don't go easy on ANYONE! Not even my own sister!

Of course I also find the classics good ones but still, as the gaming industry moves on, don't you think that its products are geting better? In my opinion,we live in an age when the best games of every kind are available, for low prices. Also, modern games are much more balanced and many of them give you the chance to play competitive.

I don't know if I misunderstood what you what you said, did you mean that you prefer old games that where made from the ages of Atari 2600 to gamecube or modern games that are like em?
What I meant was that I like modern games (such as Soul Calibur 4, Mortal Kombat, and Smash Bros.) I still love the old school games (such as Centipede or Donkey Kong Country).

People hate me for that, because of those damn first person shooters! Heck, even God of War is being blown off because of them!

Yeah mystery those "gamers" are just really good at shooting, they don't understand the strategy mechanics through playing games like pokemon or even Dungeons and Dragons... (thats real old school... and i used to play that myself... still would if i had people to play....)
Besides let me get behind a sniper in an old school shooting game and lets see what just happens... I remember the old trench wars.... those were fun Smile

Man, there's a lot of strategy in FPS/action games. The fact that most people who play such games ignore it doesn't mean that you can't play in a clever way. Games like CoD or Counter Strike have less strategic options, Battlefield ones or TF2 which has many different classes, each one with its one advantagies, offer much more. I personally love games that combine both strategy and action, in other words both the skill and the planning are important, just like in DotA. You need to both think before you act and be able to actually execute some good ciombos with the right timing.
I didnt mean that there was no strat i meant not nearly as much.....

Well, those 10 year old noobs who play CoD sure don't care about strategy. The only reason they play is because they like guns and "its a man's game" my older brother stopped playing CoD because so many people playing it were like 8 year olds (we found a 7 year old girl that was playing the damn game...where the FUCK were her parents?) and they weren't skilled at all and just swore at people the entire game because they thought that was manly. It makes people who aren't douchebags that play CoD look bad to others.

Exactly, it's not only about how good a game is, it's also important the community behind it. There are many games that are decent but have gotten a terrible reputation thanks to their community and the opposite. That's probably the reason I stopped playing public DotA, only in lan and with friends now. you can't enjoy a game if your teammates/enemies are useless/morons.
