Wow, those graphics good (they're 3-D now; I just hope they dont have the black dots along the sides like in DPP)
Do you guys think they might throw a curveball and there might not be Kanto (or vice-versa, they add another region?) (That might disappoint / excite everyone.)
Why did they have to make it? I mean ok, it's nice but why our first Pokemon should be out? They are no Pikachu! I'm affraid that if we see such changes from the first pictures, the game will be quite different. Don't get me wrong. I am not of those persons who say "Everything old is good, everything new is bad" But they are Remakes! Give us some of the old feeling! They could add other things better than that. Except if it is optional... On the other hand, the graphics are very impressive. The main character looks very detailed.

Of course they will "give us some of the old feeling". But it will introduce new stuff, like FireRed and LeafGreen did. The fact that's it's a remake doesn't mean it should be exactly the same as Gold and Silver. These games are almost 10 years old. What's the point of making a remake if they don't introduce new staff? It could be the same as buying the game for the GameBoy Color, but with 2.5D graphics.
I aggre with you but the Pokemon-out-of-the-pokeball-thing adds NOTHING. It justs harms the remake for me. I liked the graphics. But instead of providing us with this "new staff" that doesn't improve the gameplay at all, they could do something that will really make an impact! Giving us the ability to customize our character's clothes for example would be more interesting. They could even use it to affect some in-game events, "The world ends with you" style

That would make it a bit more like the-typical-rpg-that-you'd-expect-with-items-and-stuff.
