yeah. i some times use thunder wave w/ blissey and one of my gengars knows giga drain. it is VERY useful. at least in d/p he will be able to use shadow ball and sludge bomb effectivly.
i tried that team on netbattle, and it works like magic! i lost like once w/ it and it was to a full uber team so technically you really cant count that.
wow, i just beat another full uber team, and only 2 died! just think if it were in game. evryone would lose ingame!
Can you believe I've battled treecko and we both used this same team??!! I won, hehe... (4 x 0Big Grin)
But I need Haze to counter stat-boosting pokémon, and Gengar is one of the fastest things able to do it... Just look my strategy:
1st turn: the foe tries a stat-boosting move
2nd turn: I switch to Jumpluff and the foe still tries that move
3rd turn: I use Encore and I'm protected from being attacked
4rd turn: I switch to Gengar and kill the foe or I use haze and kill it later.
The only thing that can break this strategy are dragon dancers or agilitiers...
And I can't use the moveset you've suggested to Gengar 'cause I need a sp. sweeper able to beat steel pokémon like Forretress (although I can't kill Metagross with a single Fire Punch...). If I put Destiny Bond, I'll have a lack of offense - I planned this team trying to counter every type.
About Blissey: if I give up using Seismic Toss, she won't have an offensive move. And if I fight something like Shuckle (with Rest) or if the foe is protected by Safeguard, Blissey might be useless...
Here comes my in-game team. It will be like that when it is finished, but I must wait a little...

Aerodactyl @ Choice Band
Jolly, 252 Speed, 252 Attack, 6 HP
  • Rock Slide
  • Aerial Ace
  • Earthquake
  • Double-Edge
I don't think you don't know what it is. Just sweep everything that comes in your way... This Pokemon is ready, fully-trained, at 100 lvl, with 31 IVs in Speed.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Impish, 252 Defense, 252 HP, 6 Sp.Def.
  • Aromatherapy
  • Softboiled
  • Counter
  • Toxic
Once again, you know what it is. The standard OU Blissey. This is also fully-trained, at 100 lvl, with 30 IVs in HP.

Gengar @ Petaya Berry
Timid, 252 Sp.Atk., 252 Speed, 6 HP
  • Psychic
  • Thunderbolt
  • Giga Drain
  • Destiny Bond
Special Sweeper Gengar. Pretty cool. He can destroy a lot of Pokemon and Destiny Bond rulez. This Pokemon is also fully-trained, at 100 lvl.

Salamence @ Salac Berry / Scope Lens
Adamant, 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
  • Earthquake
  • Aerial Ace
  • Brick Break
  • Dragon Dance
Back up for Aerodactyl. Another Physical Sweeper is needed and Salamence is one of my favorite Pokemon so it deserves a place in my team. I am training this Pokemon now.

Jumpluff @ Brightpowder
Jolly, 252 HP, 252 Speed, 6 Defense
  • Leech Seed
  • Sleep Powder
  • Encore
  • Return
Aluado, that's your Jumpluff! I tried it in Net Battle and it works wonders. I just changed Aerial Ace to Return because two of my other Pokemon know Aerial Ace and there is no point in using it 3 times in a team. Return is more powerful and it is affected by Brightpowder.

Houndoom @ Petaya Berry / ?????
Timid, 252 Speed, 252 Sp.Atk., 6 HP
  • Flamethrower
  • Pursuit
  • Will-O-Wisp
  • Crunch / ?????
Well, it's one of my favorite Pokemon when it comes to surprises. When everybody awaits a Sunny Day+Solarbeam+Flamethrower moveset, take them aback with Will-O-Wisp. Pursuit is the second surprise. It kills every Gengar and Alakazam one shot. Flamethrower is there for STAB. Last move, I don't know. Maybe Crunch for STAB, maybe something else. Any suggestions here? I also need an item...

That's it. Any suggestions?
well, considering that the ppl in game dont switch much, unless there has been like 20 turns and they're suffering, houndoom's pursuit isnt much. in the elite four its more usefull, as they switch more than alyone else, but thats about it. i would use taunt or roar[, so you could burn the whole team]. imo, crunch should stay. also, you said that the in game ppl would be surprised w/ a houndoom w/o sunnyday& solarbeam. probably not, as most in game ppl are stupid, using thunder bolt on grountypes. lol. actually, w/ sunnybeam, it may cause a pokemon to get trapped, as i was fighting some1 one netbattle and all the had left was a swampert and celebi and i had sunny day in effect. so either was they would lose, as celebi had 6% hp left and swampert, 50%. an item, dont ask me, im not good w/items.
Evrything else looks pretty good.
Well, when I say in-game, I mean not in Net Battle. This includes competitive battling. And in competitive battling, everybody expects the Sunny Day combo on a Houndoom.
Well... I "upgraded" the team I made before. It´s working great, so I want to know what you think about it...

Forretress
Careful@Leftovers
6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 SDef
Sturdy
- Explosion
- Hidden Power Bug
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
The basic rapid spinner + spiker Forretress... I replaced Toxic with Hidden Power bug so I have a STAB that is good for killing those hateful Starmies and Sceptiles (I´m joking, don´t start fighting with me...) and uses a little more of the 252 efforts spent on Atk.

Jumpluff
Jolly@Leftovers
252 HP, 6 Def, 252 Spd
Chlorophyll
- Aerial Ace
- Encore
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
Well, everybody here knows about this one.^^ Jumpluff can force the foe to switch out, so nobody should use Jumpluff without a spiker. Wink

Blissey
Bold@Leftovers
252 HP, 252 Def, 6 SDef
Natural Cure
- Aromatherapy
- Counter
- Seismic Toss
- Softboiled
I´ve explained this one a lot, right? So I won´t take your time on this one.

Gengar
Timid@Petaya Berry
6 HP, 252 SAtk, 252 Spd
Levitate
- Destiny Bond
- Ice Punch
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
Bolt-beam is useful, right? Psychic is strong and may low the foe´s SDef. Destiny Bond is more important than Haze for Gengar. It´s always useful to switch out to Gengar when the foe is about to use Rapid Spin, because if Rapid Spin misses or hits a Substitute, it won´t blow out the Spikes. Wink

Marowak
Careful@Thick Club
6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 SDef
It´s ability doesn´t matter...
- Aerial Ace
- Brick Break
- Bonemerang
- Rock Slide
Bonemerang is better than Earthquake when you´re in a single battle. Both moves have the same power, but Bonemerang is a good Substitute-breaker, perfect for killing unprepared Jolteons. Wink

Vaporeon
Bold@Leftovers
252 HP, 162 Def, 96 SAtk
Water Absorb
- Baton Pass
- Substitute
- Surf
- Wish
Wish can heal my entire team. To baton pass a 101 Substitute is great, especially for Marowak or Gengar. I had to replace Milotic with this... my team was needing Wish.

So how about it? Any suggestions to make it better?
Nice team and I like that you took into consideration my suggestions. Here is something more:
Marowak: Aerial Ace, Brick Break--->Swords Dance, Double-Edge.
With Vaporeon's Substitute, Marowak gets a free turn to SD once and your opponent has sth like Blissey, twice. Marowak's attack after 2 SDs becomes 1536 so nothing stays alive. DE does more damage and with Marowak's Rock Head trait, no recoil damage.
I just can´t give up Aerial Ace because of foes that like using Double Team... I have no Hazer in this team, so some Double Teams could give me some troubles... So what should I do?
Ok, if you want keep Aerial Ace but Swords Dance is a must. With a BPed Sub and Marowak's high Defense, you'll be able to set easily. And change Marowak's EPs and Nature to Adamant, 252 Atk, 129 HP, 129 Def. Even with full Sp.Def, Sceptile's Leaf Blade, Suicune's CMed Surf and Jolteon's/Zapdos'/Raikou's HP [Ice/Grass] OHKO him so better not give EPs there. If you find something that may hit you hard with such an attack just switch out.
Actually, with those efforts and nature it takes 2 super-effective moves for KOing Marowak.
Ok, after using the damage calculator, Suicune KOs it after one CM, Sceptile's Leaf Blade OHKOs it if it's Modest but not 100% and doesn't OHKO it if it's Timid but keep in mind the high critical hit ratio and Sceptile's Scope Lens. Raikou's HP [Ice/Grass] KOs it only after one CM again and Zapdos and Jolteon can't KO it. Anyway, it's up to you.
