For those who don´t know/remember me, I used to be an active member in this forum. But I am a latter-day saint (a.k.a "mormon"), and when we are 19 we can serve in a mission, which is to talk to other people about the church, the gospel, to help people, etc. for 2 years. In these years, we need to completely focus in this work, so we don´t play games, the computer, and other stuff...
But I´ve finished this work, so I´m back now.
So, you'll be as active as you used to be?

Hearing all these hardships because of your religion makes me angry. I've never liked religion. Religious people were always mean to me. I'm the only kid in my area who isn't catholic so that has presented many problems for me. Our priest is also a maniac who regularly feeds kids lies such as "abortion is murder" and "god wont love you if you vote democrat" and all that sh*t. And in my opinion, I don't like it when people go around trying to convert others. This isn't what jesus wanted. He just wanted others to treat people the way they wanted to be treated. I don't mean any offense to you, and it's fine for you to follow your religion and believe in it. I hope I didn't offend you. It did sound hard what you were going through.
Truth is priests tell us wrong truths. They want us to do what they think is right. And most parents haven't even finished school so they don't know if it's true or not and choose the easy answer " it's true".For example, when some children here ask their parents "why do I believe in god or Jesus? How do I know that books tell the right things?",they tell them a well-known greek phrase "believe without doing a research".Although the sentence is the same, a comma can make the sentence sound differently.
If you now put the comma "," it becomes "believe or not, do a research about it". 2 completely different meanings in the same sentence. You can guess which one is the correct one.I found that out 2 years ago. That's when I started having a second thought about things priests say.
I get most of this from my parents but some of it from the religious fanatics in my neighborhood.

i agree with you.they try to make us believe what they believe...but i never care about what others say.i don't even care about what my parents say(not always).i prefer doing or believing what i think it's right
