I don't count myself as a brony. However, some of the stuff I saw on YouTube is rather amusing. I also discovered that two users are under the names of Rainbow Dash and Derpy Hooves.
In a vid titled "Save Derpy", the plucky pony is upset that people make fun of her because she's different. It melted the ice in my heart because I can relate to that! I therefore offered her my sympathy. I can't stand bullies! May they burn in the fires of Hell!

Well, this all stems from the fact that Derpy's original voice was considered offensive by lots of people, who complained, and then Hasbro changed it and her eyes to something less derpy Here, you can see for yourself the original.

but what exactly is supposed to be offensive? you can't just say "it's offensive" you have to say why it's offensive or how it offends you wtf
Well, I think it had to do with the fact that her voice sounds like a retarded person , coupled with the fact that her eyes are very acutely crossed. Us bronies found nothing wrong with this, but parents of young children did find something wrong with this, which like I said earlier led to Hasbro's changing of Derpy's voice and underping her eyes.

I also didn't find her offensive but whatever. Luckily we can still present the characters as we want in fanfics and fanart, so that means we will always have all sort of ponies to enjoy.
As for society hating bronies, well I can't tell that they have tried to make the best of impressions. Lots of MLP fans, including myself, do not like the way many bronies express themselves. I mean, I love ponies aswell but some bronies act silly/ridicously and that makes people form a negative opinion about fans. Add to this the fact that MLP is not widely considered a mature show for men and you have society's dissaprovement.
But in the end, why care about what others think? In the end, ponies are ponies and that's the most important.

Puns are fun. Luckily there is Twilight Sparkle 'cause the word Twilight was getting a very bad reputation Even though some people consider it even gayer with Twilight from MLP, at least she makes it up for me.
