MANUELF Wrote:well, lucario has no problem with wevils and spiritombs and i think i can beat it easily!
Spiritomb can Will-o-Wisp a physical sweeper Lucario and *TADA!* job's done. If Lucario is a special sweeper one, Spiritomb can just drain its HP with Pain Split and switch to a counter. About Weavile, I can say nothing, Lucario owns it. But I don't think that you'll find many "expert" players leaving their Weavile fight one-on-one against a Lucario.
i say again that with strategy you can do everything! don't forget that! and, anyway, i can combine some pokemon to beat a spititomb! not big deal! and at the worst case i can use my deoxis wich has his speed, special atk and atk at +/- 450! i never use him , and think i will never have to, but a single eatrthqake (if he had this move) could destroi at once a spiritomb!
Yeah you can do anything with strategy but the same applies for your opponent, too.Especially in D/P there is NO team that can be declared unstopable. And if you combine SOME Pokemon to defeat Spiritomb, then you will have problems with the other Pokemon.Deoxys is an Uber by the way but Spiritom can still defeat it with Sucker Punch.
that is true: if you use your brain and soul you can archive everithing! and when a trainer is like us, onli with level 100 in his party, the onli thing that counts is strategi! in fact, it is more an inteligance than a pokemon battle!

Sorry, but Spiritomb´s defences are high, so it´s really hard to OHKO it (specially with a non-STABed move).
manuelf, it seems as if you refuse to take anyone's advice. you obviously think you have the best team in the world, but the thing is, there is no such thing. earthquake is powerful and so is deoxys, but there are more powerful things. especially than your so-called strategy. like Blue stated, a sucker punch could easily ko a deoxys, unless, i think, its a lg deoxys. plus, spiritomb can burn, toxic, put to sleep, destiny bond, and pain split. plus, there are other pokemon in a team-5 more. its very unlikely that a whole team will be all spiritombs, but other pokemon weild some of spiritombs moves that are better at doing it than spiritomb is. and spiritomb is excellent at what it does, be it sweep, stall, or tank, so that means some pokemon that arent ubers are phenominal at what they do. jumpluff is an excellent annoyer, vespiquen is a good tank, electivire is good physically, and houndoom is good specially. anyone of the pokemon i just said can beat uber teams. a vespiquen of mine once beat a ev trained darkrai. how? with the use of a good strategy. i baton passed double teams to it from my umbreon( yes darkrai is faster, but it was a bouble battle in which my togekiss used follw me), allowing me to defense order before doing a critical hit with attack order. of course, using follow in a single battle is not good, but that makes room fro more strategies, using different pokemon. but you refuse to apply a good strategy. i use to be alot like you, and i would refuse the help aluado and blue gave me at the beginning. but i realised that if i wanted to become a better trainer, i would need to take help from trainers that were better than me. if i hadn't, well, i would be rooting for you and your mess of a team. but im not, so that means you still have room for improvment as well. gengar, alakazam, and lucario are 3 extremly powerful pokemon that can hold their own in battle, and so can the ubers, but ubers take the fun out of battling. even if you dont have to use them, which i doubt, still switch them with different pokemon. you are in need of a tank,so get a blissey or a spiritomb. and you still may want to take out either gengar or alakazam(if lucario is a physical sweeper) and switch them with something that resist ghost, like magnezone, or a weavile. and you should still teel us the moves and natures of your pokemon.
Spiritomb is used best as annoyer/sweeper.Figure it:nsty plot+calm mind+Shadow ball+Psychic/dark Pulse. And it is an aweseome annoyer too.
well,i prefer all out attack, works for me perfectly^^!!

But you can´t stop thinking defencively too.
Like, let´s suppose that you´re using your Infernape. So, the foe uses Starmie. Well, you must to switch, obviously, but let´s suppose that the rest of the team is Weavile, Garchomp, Gyarados, Gengar and... Roserade? (Without ideas...
)
Starmie outruns every pokemon of yours... if you don´t switch out, Infernape will be OHKOed by Surf. If you switch to Weavile, Weavile has poor defences, so the incoming Surf will nearly KO it (leaving it vulnerable to another sweeper). Starmie´s Ice Beam OHKOes Garchomp and hurts badly Roserade. Gyarados dies with Thunderbolt and even if Starmie hasn´t Psychic, it´s faster than Gengar and can 2HKO it.
Understand what I meant?
yes i do actually, but when we talk about all out attack you really have to be able to make a team that uses "teamwork".It's the alpha and the omega when using full out attack^^.
Well, an all-out-attack team with just sweepers is sure really risky but don't be so sure that it won't work. There are many sturdy sweepers out there which can take some hits and survive while dealing huge amounts of damage. The best example is Snorlax which can be a Physical Sweeper with Curse. With awesome HP and Special Defense, boosted Attack and Defense and only two sweeping moves (Crunch, Earthquake, Body Slam, Elemental Punches... so many choices) it can last forever while sweeping and resting damage away. Same can do other Pokémon too like Dusknoir. Plus, the team that Aluado presented as an offensive team is sure weak. But think of a team with Electivire, Salamence, Gyarados, Alakazam, Snorlax and maybe Dusknoir. All of them are offensive Pokémon, yes, even Dusknoir. But they work together. Gyarados lures Thunderbolts, perfect switch-in for Electivire. Electivire lures EQs, perfect switch in for Salamence. Salamence lures Ice Beams, Snorlax (especially a Thick Fat one) can get them easily. Snorlax lures Fighting moves, Dusknoir gets them. See? Every team member supports each other. I don't disagree that the team would need a Tank and maybe an Annoyer, I would use them for sure. I am just posting an idea of teamwork as Billaros said.
(I have no idea how I found the energy to type all these now...)
whats a good physical movepool for dusknoir? he has lots of attacking moves, but he probably needs a supporting move as well.
Hum... Well, battling on shoddybattle, I saw these moves: Pain Split, Ice Punch, Will-o´Wisp and Shadow Sneak or Thunderpunch.
I don´t know if this helps you somehow
Whatever... since Dusknoir has a low HP, Pain Split is really nice. Ice Punch OHKOes stupid Garchomps and Salamences, Shadow Sneak is really nice against Gengar (specially because Dusknoir can´t safely switch into Gengar... a sweeper Dusknoir is 2HKOed by Shadow Ball), Thunderpunch kills Gyarados and Will-o´Wisp cuts physical sweepers´ power.
Yes.That is indeed a very good moveset for Dusknoir.I am planning to train one but I will focus on its Defences.Without any EP its Attack is 205-236.That means it can defeat Salamence and Gyarados with Ice and Thunder Punch without Intimidate of course.
I am not sure if Dusknoir can defeat Salamence and Gyarados. The turn you switch on them, they have a chance to hit you really hard. If you focus on Dusknoir's Def, Salamence's Draco Meteor will destroy it and if you focus on its Sp.Def, Gyarados can 2HKO (I think) with EQ. If you switch in while Gyarados uses Taunt or in a missing Hydro Pump by SpecsMence, then you have a chance to OHKO. But anyway, the best thing to do is predict when they switch in and Will-o-Wisp them, even if Salamence is a special one. And by the way, think also of using Brick Break on Dusknoir for OHKOing Tyranitar and Weavile and Pursuit for hitting Choice Specs Alakazam locked in Psychic/Focus Blast or Azelf.
