Registrations for the 2012 International Challenge are now open! You can register for the tournament by going to the Global Battle Union section of the PGL website and following the instructions. Registrations will remain open until March 21st, 23:59 UTC. Registrations are “first come, first served”, the limit is set at 50,000 participants, with 25,000 of these spots being only for Japanese players so be sure to register while you can!
The tournament itself will run from March 22nd, 00:00 UTC until March 26th, 23:59 UTC. The tournament will follow the VGC 2012 format, that means double battles where the only banned Pokémon are Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem and the unobtainable Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect. The tournament uses the Battle Box and Battle Competition features of Pokémon Black and White.
