Edit @ 09:05: The Pokémon Company has announced the Eon Ticket Relay for the UK. This will begin with Junichi Masuda giving the Eon Ticket out at the launch event on Saturday November 29th. From there, 15 winners will be sent to various GAME stores to spread the Eon Ticket through StreetPass. More details are to be released on November 13th

Yeah....spreading the Eon Ticket through StreetPass is awesome! I hope they do other events this way. (even though I think they are only doing this because it mimics the mixing records from the originals)

Awesome how? You know how ridiculous it is? And let's say this is only for the record mixing replacement. Why the hell should they make more events this way? The only way for some people to get such events is Homepass.

People will always find a reason to complain.

People complain because the distribution is sh!t. If you could share the ticket trough WiFi, noone would complain in the first place.

I agree.
It would be much better if it was something like: battle and/or trade with the guy if he's a Friend 1 time or as many times as it's needed if he's a Acquaintance or a Passerby (till he becomes a Friend,then 1 battle and you got the ticket).

These are actually really good news for the distributions. First, these events are not limited by time constraints, meaning that someone can get the event item any time. Secondly, this is not such a big change compared to the usual real life events as essentially you can get the item via a code and then StreetPass it to someone that didn't manage to be on the event or was unaware of it.

If you can't find someone to StreetPass then you probably wouldn't be able to even go to the distribution event so, in any case, this is certainly not worse.

And the point of this event is not to give the item via WiFi to everyone with a connection. It's to develop the community. You're supposed to go to the event and find other people there.

There are events that are given to essentially everyone and others that are rarer. I understand that someone that lives away from such an event can't obtain it but there will always be someone unable to get it, no matter what. The Eon Ticket and many other events aren't a necessary part of the game anyway. They could release every single event Day 1 as downloadables but this entirely misses the point.

I could get the Shiny Gengar event but I can't get the StreetPass one. So,at least you did a good job saying probably Toungue

Yes but the Eon Ticket may be given with a code too, so I don't see your point. And to get the StreetPass event you'll have to actually take your 3DS out of your house.
