Why did the chicken cross the road?

The chicken crossed the road as a sign of rebellion against farmers. It was historically inevitable due to the fact that it is the nature of chickens to want to cross roads so they can boldly go where no chicken has ever gone before and besides, that was the only trip the establishment would let it take. So I do believe we were quite justified in dropping 50 tons of nerve gas on it. Otherwise we would have a chicken revolution on our hands.
