But in double battles, Earthquake is more useful (it hits everyone). If I use this in single battles, I would use Bonemerang instead (it can break substitutes and hit the foe once).
im just saying what im useing. didnt say you had to...
I don't mean to be rude, but your team's strategies are the "look good on paper" type. Also confusion is gay, dude. Please do your opponent a favor and don't use it Sad
You're WAY better off with Explosion+Protect, anyway.

Marowak with Lightningrod looks good on paper, but when do you usually see Electric moves in 2v2? Rain Dance teams. And what are RD teams packing? That's right, Surf. Go with:

Marowak@Thick Club
-Rock Head
Adamant
252 Att/252 Speed/6 Whatever
~Bonemerang/Earthquake(if you have a lot of flyers/levitators)
~Double Edge
~Focus Punch/Protect/Hidden Power Ghost
~Substitute/Sword Dance

Protect+Sword Dance if you're going to put an Exploder on your team. HP Ghost+Sword Dance if you're worried about Gengar.

I don't know what to do with Cacturne, use Teeter Dance if you insist on being a noob(Not to be mean or anything, that's what they'll call you).

Your EV spreads tell me you look new to competitive battling. I'm not assuming anything here, but you may need to realize that even a few extra stat points can make a difference. 252/252/6 rarely is a good idea(Marowak is one of those rare non-Choice Banded Pokemon that you want to go all out with).

Again, sorry if I came off as a jerk/elitist/arrogant.

are YOU actually agreeing with me? i think confusion is retarded too. i also like bonemerang , b/c you dont hurt your partner, unless you attack them of if they are flying or levitate.

First of all, I want you to know: I'm not a begineer. I play pokémon since I was 10. I may be latin american, but it doesn't mean I'm dumb.
Do you know why Lightning is useful? Everybody uses earthquake in double battles, right? So, the most common thing is to see flying pokémon. Of course, expert players (and there are lots of them) will remember this and use electric attacks, super-effective in flyers. And many people used Zapdos in the tournament I've gone.
So, Lightning Rod protects my team against them. Have you ever fought in a double battle with many people? Electric moves ARE overused. I thought on defence, as well in attack.
Marowak is too slow for putting 252 Spd. With the Efforts distribution I made, Marowak can bear Metagross's earthquake and Kyogre's Ice Beam/Surf. (This is why I prefered put EV in SDef instead of Spd.)
Another thing: only begining players would use Surf in double battles (expert players would use only with Rain Dance, although it's still weak), 'cause Surf's power is halved in double battles!
Cacturne may be KOed in the first hit, I know, so his partner will be Clefable. With the support of Follow Me, Cacturne may confuse my foes and disrupt strategies (as you, nobody is waiting for a Cacturne, Mpika!)

If you want to show me my weaknesses, feel free. But please, don't create new strategies that could give me more weaknesses.
Aluado IS one of the bast on the site. definetly not a begginer.
Another thing: using Teeter Dance or Double Team makes your team a little annoyer. Is it stupid to have some annoying pokémon? That's not illegal or cheap.
thats what we were disscusing on "My Team......."... i dont like them, but they are very useful.
Of course, I'll use Explosion+Protect/Ghost, but I'm still thinking in strategies. Feel free if somebody wants to help me. I may change somethings (like using Jumpluff instead of Cacturne for using Helping Hand in Aerodactyl's Earthquake without being damaged)
what do you use your jumpluff for? like, what role does it have?
Just for supporting. Jumpluff, Latias and Latios are the only pokémon unaffected by ground moves that learn Helping Hand.
I know you may tell me to use Lati@s, but I don't like to use legendaries (and pseudo-legendaries). It's really annoying, for me, to see teams like: Zapdos, Metagross, Tyranitar, Salamence, Dragonite and Mewtwo.
I wonder why would 386 (until Emerald) pokémon be created if the people use only the sames?
And, as I said many times before, I almost don't use what is overused.
many of the pokemon dont have good stats. thats why somany are overused. the final lv starters, legies and pseudo-legies are the best ones. there are a few others that arnt in those categories, but they ususally have unbalanced stats.
Their stats may be unbalanced; but an expert trainer can use them properly. Cacturne is a example: his offencive is really great, but it's low defences and speed mean it'll be KOed without showing it's massive power...
An expert trainer should use Reflect/Light Screen or baton pass agilities/amnesias/iron defences for it, for example.
I was thinking... is it better do use the Protect+Explosion combo or to use a pokémon with Damp?

Rofl, you thought that I think that you're stupid because you're a brazillian? I didn't say you were stupid, and I definitely didn't make the assumtion that you were brazillian.

This is weird, because I was under the assumtion that most waters can learn Ice Beam. Who were you playing against? I stand by my opinion that Marowak with Lightningrod is ineffective since waters are running all over the place. I guess you could run into someone who doesn't want to use a Rain Dance team. However, Rain Dance teams should be your focus at this point since Marowak and Cacturne are both weak against them.
So, Lightning Rod protects my team against them. Have you ever fought in a double battle with many people? Electric moves ARE overused. I thought on defence, as well in attack.

I'm sorry about this, I pulled that spread out of my ***.

Water's widely known 2x boost in rain says hi Smile

Aluado sent out Cacturne!
Cacturne gets hit by move!
End of turn.

Opponent's Pokemon 1 uses Protect!
Opponent's Pokemon 2 uses Protect!
Aluado's Pokemon uses Protect!
Aluado's Cacturne uses Teeter Dance!
Opponent knows Cacturne's whole annoyer strategy in one turn.

This is hypothetical, of course. They could just double Ice Beam, or maybe they'd beat the crap out of Clefable?

If you want to show me my weaknesses, feel free. But please, don't create new strategies that could give me more weaknesses.
Done.
Blargh, I'm sounding like I think I know everything again X(

Edit:
Aluado Wrote:I was thinking... is it better do use the Protect+Explosion combo or to use a pokémon with Damp?
Depends. You could use Damp instead to keep youself from accidentaly blowing yourself up into 3 Protects. Or you can outpredict them and use a stat-upper, then explode later.
