It's quite possible it was RNG'ed since it was Gen V. If so, it would be legit.

Most people go the easy way though. Which means I'd say it's hacked UNLESS you know the trader. Then it MIGHT be legit.
So the other day I found my old Pokemon Emerald gameboy advance game and when I tried to play it in my gameboy advance and it freezes on the gameboy opening screen and the Nintendo logo is all fuzzy! Does anyone know if there is a way to fix it because I really don't want to buy a new one

1st you have a nice gba, i recently bought the same
(already have a silver and now i have a transparent)
2nd i'd say you need to clean the pins on the cartridge but first try to see if it works on another gba

(no idea why the use water, i'd use a bit of rubbing/wound cleaning alcohol (you know the transparent) )
P.S i asked a friend and he told me that Contact cleaner (non automotive) if you have it is the best bet but nail varnish remover if it does not leave anything behind works, some people also use rubbing/wound cleaning alcohol.
