On second thought, you might be right. It's only one form, it just moved it's (hands?).

I'm pretty excited but no major leaks such as the legendary trio etc. which makes me sad. The story(from the 2 pictures thus far) will be amazing. If it's the way I think it will be.

No, there are only 69 new Pokemon, without the Mega Evolutions! It's fking lame!

I thought GameFreak said that this Gen would take the total number of Pokemon well over 700. 718 is not well over 700.
I guess that's why we have Mega Evolutions. Most of the Pokedex has been leaked already then. It also means that Xerneas, Yveltal, and the third one in the trio (if there even is one) will be the only new legendaries.

I still think XY is worth the hype, especially if Serena falls in love with you!
From what little I've read about the story(I want to keep the story mostly a surprise) , it sounds really deep and really good.

I didn't say the opposite. I'm sure the gaming experience and everything else is top notch. But 69 new Pokemon? +Mew replacement=70.

I buy the game because of the choices. In this Gen, I don't have THAT many. it's really amazing when you don't know which Pokemon to chose for your team. I don't have that in this Gen. See? If I want the old Pokemon, I can start a new game any time I want. I don't really care about Mega Evolutions, since they're not permanent. If they were, it'd be a totally different story.

I buy the games for two reasons:
1. I love training Pokemon.
2. The story.

Also, even though our choices of the new Pokemons are limited, I'm still having trouble deciding exactly what to have on my team. Some things are a given with me. I'm going to have 2-4 Grass types especially with the two Ghost/Grass!
Maybe when the third game comes out, they'll release another 70 to make it different. Hopefully.

By putting the originals in XY, GameFreaks hoping to draw back the attention of the fans who haven't played since Gen I.

I actually like the fact that the Mega Evolutions aren't permanent because of the following:
1: It would make the game too easy.
2: It adds another layer to the strategy because you don't know which Pokemon your opponent will choose to go Mega and then there's Pokemon like Mewtwo and Charizard who both have two Megas.

I totally understand the old Pokemon deal. I, personally, wish that in Gen VII, that they start over with #1 in the Pokedex and have all new Pokemon without the previous 6 Gens.
